Ghazal

Do you know how much you frame my life with love?
You are a priceless prism that refracts all light to love.

In the long arid sleepless nights of summer
I hear my heart crying ‘Where are you, love?’

In the tennis match of our matchless bond
You always have forty and I always have love.

And when you are chained to another’s life
I ask ‘What is this thing called love?’

For no-one will know the truth when, or if, I go above
My greatest achievement was, my love, your love.
